ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 2 // BIG GIRL ROOM

It’s Week 2 of the ORC and we’re in the thick of it! This week and next we are tackling the WALLS! We are comparing blush paint colors, and bonus: roping you in on our paint vs. wallpaper dilemma. While we have committed to DIYing white board & batten around perimeter on the bottom half (look for it next week), we have yet to decide if we will do:

a) blush paint on top throughout the entire room

b) floral wallpaper on one accent wall above the bed, and blush on the remaining 3 walls

Ideally I love the look of wallpaper all the way around the room, but… money, yo! And I’m doing this room on a serious budget. (As you’ll also see with my vintage & thrift finds in the coming weeks!)

So, as we consider B, do you think it’s too much to have 3 different wall treatments? Should I leave the fun prints to the linens & throw pillows, and keep the walls simple and classic with just the blush paint and white B&B? (I should mention that that beautiful floral sketched print does come in a throw pillow.)

Help me decide!!!

So you can visualize what I mean, I have two concepts below:

Blush paint all 4 walls

Blush paint all 4 walls

Floral wallpaper on 1 wall

Floral wallpaper on 1 wall

Blush paint on wall

Blush paint on wall

While we wait on the consensus, we decided on a blush paint color and are painting all four walls for now. Check out our next post on our top 5 that made the cut. And be sure to check out all the amazing projects by other guest participants in this spring’s One Room Challenge here!
